Well after a very monotonous journey we eventually arrived at one of our favourite hotels. The Holiday Inn at the Rose Bowl, Southampton. After a late afternoon nap we headed off to “Hancocks” famous American Restaurant in Eastleigh for a traditional American Rib n Steak dinner. Rump steak to die for!!
In my office looking out to a busy A6 trunk road with intermittant snow. I’m in Dove Holes, Derbyshire locally known as the weather dump of the peaks. Working away to prepare for our Holiday starting on Monday.
I still have to work over the weekend so no peace for the wicked Dove Holes tomorrow (Saturday) and Gloucester (to be confirmed) on Sunday. Hell of a day driving from Cheshire to Gloucester, 8 hours work then drive home again. So knackered on Sunday night.
Well here I am just 1 week of rain, drizzle and cold weather to go. Guess what I now go down with a terrible cold, well lets hope it clears before our holiday. This is a big one we are away for over a month on VENTURA. Just hope I can trust our son in our house all that time
That’s us enjoying a drink last year.
Australia last year, amazing holiday but this next one has all the prospects of being just as exciting and exhilarating. Were starting with a relaxed drive to Southampton then overnight in a hotel. Well better get back to packing instead of rambling on.
Have a great weekend, I will update you all next week. To our many kids me and Mum both send our love.
Well its a right lousy day here in Woodley with sleet and snow and rain what more could we want. Only 2 weeks to our next adventure, June and I are both looking forward to a great trip on board Ventura. We will be swopping the lousy North West weather for some lousy Southampton weather on the first couple of days then sunshine yippee!!
Follow us in our travels I will try to give daily updates but not always easy when your at sea. I don’t believe it the suns coming out now, freezing cold though. Happy winter folks xx.
